Most of the Golden State had a cooler than normal October.  Maxima around the state were generally 2 to 3.5 degrees below normal, with an anomaly of -3.9 degrees at Sacramento.  The only "warm" spot was Eureka with an average maxima of 0.4 degrees above normal though this was countered by their average minima of 0.5 below normal.

The large storm on the 13th pushed most monthly rainfall totals for the month to well above normal.  The San Francisco Bay Area  received over 200% of their normal monthly rainfall, while Sacramento had a whooping 364% of normal and Los Angeles a phenomenal 559% of normal for the month.  The far northern counties were undercut a bit by the storm ending up with close to normal rainfall, while San Diego got left out of the month's precipitation with only a trace being recorded for October
