When Nintendo announced Virtual Console for the Wii, there was some speculation that people would be able to transfer your retro game purchases to your DS.  Unfortunately, that day has not come yet, especially now that the DSi Ware store will probably end up selling you those games again.  So leave it Sony to bumble their way into a potential game changing announcement: today, PC Engine (Turbografx-16) games are coming to the Playstation Network in Japan.

On top of the already robust library of PS1 games available for download in Japan, these game will all be playable on the PSP.  If this trend leads to Mega Drive (Genesis), Neo-Geo, Wonder Swan, and other non-Nintendo consoles making their way to PSN, the ability to take these games on the road in a 2-for-1 deal is not a bad way to spend your space bucks.
