Even though I'm a big fan of the Black Mamba, "Kobe doing work" is now officially the most annoying thing I hear on a regular basis.  It's a horribly contrived meme to promote a crappy Spike Lee documentary, and now the great Mike Breen is contractually obligated to use that phrase at least 81 times during a Lakers broadcast.  We get it, ESPN, Kobe really wants to win a championship.  Somewhere, LeBron is in talks with Spielberg to create a documentary to coincide with next year's playoffs called, "LeBron does work too: Electric Boogaloo."

Anyways, in video game related news, Kobe is the newest cover athlete for NBA 2K10.  According to 2K Sports, fans will get a chance to vote on what other horribly contrived dramatic pose they want Kobe to be in.  Nothing really worthwhile to say other than that NBA 2K is superior to the NBA Live series, which recently pegged Dwight Howard for its cover subject.

Oh, and Spike, we all know you're trying go for another Mars Blackmon thing with Kobe, but come on.... oh, and a Chris Duhon NBA 2K cover might be a sign of the apocalypse.  Go, Kob... I mean, Lakers ;-)
