Every Tuesday night in San Francisco (Wednesdays in Mill Valley)  women in the Bay Area have a chance to participate in a transformational process group. These workshops are based on Gestalt therapy, a psychotherapeutic model co-founded by Fritz and Laura Perls, Ralph Hefferline, and Paul Goodman in the 1940's. Gestalt is focused on the "here and now" relationships with others and the environment. Clients engaged in this form of therapy is trained to raise their awareness on how they are being and its effect on others in the present moment. This awareness is designed to get a person conscious of their role in their life and how it occurs so that they can adjust their behavior after gaining insight.

The Transformation Process Groups for women in the Bay Area are led by Ruth Boerger for those dealing with a variety of life issues. For a monthly cost of $100 a month, the group focuses on a series of areas.:

How do I seem to make things happen over and over when I don't like the result?

How can I change my belief that I'm not good enough?

How can I create my relationships to be more intimate?

How is it that I freeze up and not speak my truth to the important people in my life?

What is missing for me?

Boerger herself is a graduate of The Gestalt Institute of San Francisco and has had a practice in Gestalt Awareness since 1977. For more information, please visit: http://www.gestaltinstitute.com/enter/mod/resource/view.php?id=4
