Breast cancer survivor Christina Appelgate, star of Married with Children and The Sweetest Thing, is the founder of Right Action for Women (www.rightactionforwomen.org), a fundraising organization dedicated to finding a cure for the disease. Applegate was diagnosed at the age of 36 after an MRI screening detected it For women with a family history of breast cancer it is important to have screenings for early detection leading to increased survival chances and successful recovery.
