Given our great recession, staying in is the new going out. Stretch your budget even further when making appetizers -- use what you already have. Cut corners by whipping up a dip from some of your fridge staples.
Mayonnaise and sour cream plus any herbs or seasonings make a great dip.
How to:
Combine 1/2 c. mayonnaise, 1/2 c. sour cream, and 2-4 tablespoons of dried herbs or seasonings. Mix well, cover, and refrigerate for at least one hour. The flavors will soak into the mix and you've got a yummy dip!
Serve with chips, crackers, or vegetable wedges.
