If you think your morning drive to work is a nightmare now, then you most certainly want to make sure you provide ample time for your commute tomorrow.  Michael Jackson's Memorial will take place at the Staples Center tomorrow morning with a line up of celebrity performances and even a rumored parade of circus elephants. His fans have arrived from all over the globe to attend this historical event and most did not even receive tickets for entry. Visitors are mourning at Neverland, the Encino compound and his star on Hollywood Blvd to name just a few places.

It seems everyone has something to say about Michael Jackson. Some express the memories and nostalgic feelings of losing a legend. Others can't quite help but get past the eccentric lifestyle and perverse accusations he faced toward the end of his life. Some even question if he deserves this magnitude of media attention at all.

In 1988, Michael Jackson hit number one with his hit song "Man in the Mirror."  I remember watching the video and being spurred on to be someone positive in this world. I was touched when I heard the lyrics, "If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and then make a change." It was a voice of encouragement and a gentle reminder of the potential that's inside each one of us. Years have passed since I'd seen the video, and yet as I watch it today, I still feel that silent nudging to be the person I know I can be. This is the message I choose to take from Michael. I take that vital reminder that we can change our hearts, change our neighborhoods, change our world, and change our lives. Change is on the way and can begins with you and I.
