The Bosque is burnished gold, the high desert evenings are turning cool and the smell of roasting chile wafts through the air. Halloween is only days away with its promise of scary fun and a potential cache of candy that will keep a child happy up until Christmas.
Certainly some parents have reservations about sending their monsters and ghouls out into the neighborhood to bang on strangers' doors for treats. However, many churches offer safer, warmer and more well lit options for those youngsters who cannot resist an opportunity to dress up and beg for candy. Check your local church for times and events or you may want to consider the following options for some fall fun:
Hallelujah Night at Believers Center of Albuquerque: Tuesday October, 27, 2009 6:00 to 8:30pm http://www.believerscenter.com/comingattractions.php
Fall Fest at Calvery in Albuquerque: Sunday October 31, 2009

Have fun and be safe.
