Annoyance is proud to once again remount “Splatter Theater,” the first ever Annoyance production.
A parody of Friday the 13th type movies, the characters in “Splatter Theater” include such archetypes as a nun, the school jock, the virgin, the class dick, and of course the bumbling old man. Laugh and watch them all die in different ways: Tongue pulled out, drill in the head, intestines being ripped out, slashed throat, and the list goes on. With freshly painted white walls on the stage before each performance, the audience will be horrified and delighted by the end, when the walls are covered in blood!
“Splatter Theater” will open Saturday, September 26 at 10:01 PM and run every Saturday through October 31. On Halloween, there will be a special midnight performance in addition to the 10:01 performance.
Tickets are $15 for Splatter. For $20, patrons can get tickets to a double feature of “Bucket of Blood” (8 PM on Fridays) and “Splatter Theater.” Tickets can be purchased at the company’s website theannoyance.com or by calling the box office: 773.561.HONK (4665).
AND also just in time for Halloween, The Annoyance announces the opening of “Salem! The Musical,” a bewitching musical set in the Puritan town of Salem in 1692 - just when things were getting interesting.
New to the neighborhood, bumbling businessman Reverend Parris and his daughter get wrapped up in the most musical witch-hunt in history.
Director Mark Vannier directed “Frostbite” at The Annoyance last year. Starring an all-female cast and an original score by Dan Wessels, the Music Director at ComedySportz and of “Baby Wants Candy.”
“Salem! The Musical” will preview on September 18 and 25 and open on October 2. “Salem! The Musical” will run every Friday at 8:00 PM through October 30. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the company’s website theannoyance.com or by calling the box office: 773.561.HONK (4665).
