How many Irishmen does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Wanna laugh till you snarff green beer out your nose? Crack up till you puke corned beef? Giggle till you pee your kilt?

Well here are some offerings for tonight that just might help you do that:

1. Chicago Underground Comedy

What? You partied like the Irish this weekend and you're tired? And you're offended by the stereotype? Well, tonight's Chicago Underground Comedy show, is the cure for what ails you! We have a particularly kickass lineup in store for you!

Put on your (almost-) Spring finery and join us tomorrow night at the Beat Kitchen (2100 W. Belmont) for some fun-tastic comedy camaraderie for a mere $5!

Tonight's show features the superlative talents of cast members including:

Nick Vatterott - veteran Second City performer, featured in this big article Time Out Chicago

Dan Polydoris - "talented local comic, and his occasional infusion of music makes him highly entertaining" (NewCity Stage)

Chad Briggs - hopefully will regale us with weird stories from his recent trip to Japan

Brendan McGowan - will charm you with "retellings of drunken buffoonery" (NewCity Stage)

Sean Flannery - our resident Irishman, recently featured in The Comedians magazine

With special guest: John Barry - in his ChUC Debut!

So come to the Beat Kitchen  tonight at 9:30 (doors open in the back at 8:45) for yet another night of reliably awesome Chicago stand-up!

2. Cook County Social Club

Cook County Social Club UNPLUGGED! Tonight at 8, iO Theater our pals Butterscotch are back for a St. Pats improv, music, mish mash jam. Come on out Chicago.

This veteran foursome has been dominating the Chicago improv scene with a brand of bold, high energy improv that is guaranteed to blow you away. Varying speeds like an elite racing car this finely tuned machine seems to raise the bar just about every time they take the stage.

"COOK COUNTY SOCIAL CLUB are as brazenly committed to improv’s ‘affirm everything’ mantra as any I’ve seen. Their dark, flamboyant comic sensibilities clearly aligned, they orchestrate black-comedy vignettes tethered to richly odd characters. But what most impressed me was how fluidly they transformed between scenes, usually dangerous improv moments."- Chicago Reader

"Dream team." - Chicago Magazine

""Critics Pick" Some of the flat-out funniest moments we've ever seen in an improv show come from this fantastic four. Uncanny onstage chemistry and a roster of sharp improvisers well versed in balancing grounded scenework and uncensored play…" - TimeOut Chicago

Tuesday, March 17 @ 08:00 PM in the Cabaret Theater - tickets are $12 (FREE for iO students)

3. San Cliche Day

St. Valentines Day…
St. Patricks Day…
Happy San Cliche Day!

San Cliche is the story of San Cliche, the patron Saint of the City of San Cliche, which holds the San Cliche Festival every San Cliche Day. Happy San Cliche!

Tonight's show boasts the largest group scene ever!

Starring: The Reckoning's Jake Schneider

Tuesday, March 17 @ 08:00 PM in the Del Close Theater - tickets are $10 (FREE for iO students)

4. Rod Blagojevich Superstar! (Might be sold out!)

The zingers fly fast and furiously in this one-hour musical tribute to our fallen governor. Yes, the hair earns its fair share of punch lines, but the nimble cast shines as G-Rod, Patti, Dick Mell, Roland Burris and others.
