There are 3 Fun Shows great for a date at The ComedySportz Theatre:

WHAT: The ComedySportz Theatre is planning 3 fun shows on Valentine’s Day. They will have men vs. women themed shows, party favors and a photo booth. “ComedySportz is a great place for a date,” says SocialintheCity.com President Lynn Gargasz. “The show is hysterical and wildly entertaining no matter how old you are. It is also clean and that is so important because you don’t want to laugh at something your date might find inappropriate.”

The Cupid Players, Chicago's premiere musical sketch comedy group, present a special Valentine's Day performance of their critically acclaimed revue Cupid Has a Heart On: A Musical Guide to Relationships, featuring giveaways, surprises and a champagne toast.

Cupid Has a Heart On: A Musical Guide to Relationships is 90 minutes full of sharply written comic sketches that burst into song, offering a witty take on relationships, love and life.  Recently named the Best Sketch Comedy Group in Chicago by the Chicago Reader, the Cupid Players present scenes and songs that are raunchy, sweet, cynical, touching, smart, inane and – above all – very, very funny.  Cupid Has a Heart On has the honor of being the longest running sketch revue in the history of the legendary iO Theater.  The special Valentine's Day show will feature romantic giveaways and a champagne toast.

Saturday, February 14 at 10:30PM  (and ongoing regular shows every Saturday night)

iO Theater, 3541 N. Clark Street

The Cupid Players are a non-profit theater company dedicated to elevating the art of musical sketch comedy.  They have performed from coast to coast, including appearances at the New York Sketch Fest, Boston Comedy Fest, The Miami Improv Fest, The Portland Sketchfest, Chicago Improv Fest, The Seattle Sketchfest, Laugh! Benefit for Gilda's Club, and most recently, the Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival.  Chris Jones of the Chicago Tribune says their work is "Refreshing and memorably enjoyable …a show worth catching…far better than some far more expensive relationship musicals in town." Nina Metz of New City says, "Sharply original...will make you laugh."  Ryan Hubbard of the Chicago Reader says, "With savvy director Brian Posen at the keyboard, the Cupid Players are a musical sketch comedy machine, churning out intricate song-and-dance numbers full of I-can't-believe-they-just-did-that humor and making them look easy."  The Cupid Players were the Reader's Choice for "Best Sketch Comedy Group" in their Best of Chicago 2008 awards.  For more info, proceed to CupidPlayers.com.
