What a funny mess...

Well... with the TJ and ED and the helm and with Joey Bland as Rod we can say that there's no way this show was not gonna be big.

Second City's new show "Rod Blagojevich Superstar!" opens February 10 (AND has already been a SMASH HIT in previews.

Blago Superstar is described as "a grass roots musical" that  will run in the Second City's e.t.c. space on Tuesday and Wednesdays. Written by Ed Furman and T.J. Shanoff, "Rod Blagojevich Superstar!" is a pastiche of 70's rock operas, most notably the Tim Rice/Andrew Lloyd Weber classic Jesus Christ Superstar. Except in this case, Jesus and Mary Magdalene have been replaced by Rod and Patti Blagojevich; and the apostles have turned into the likes of Roland Burris, Patrick Fitzgerald, Dick Mell and Lisa Madigan.

Book your tickets at secondcity.com.

We have a feeling every show is gonna sell out.
