Baltimore’s First Fashion Show Produced & Performed by Kids!

StandUp for Kids, a national, all-volunteer nonprofit organization that provides services to at-risk and homeless youths, is joining forces with Baltimore to hold its first Art & Fashion Show this Sunday, June 22, from 2-5 p.m at the Sonar Club. This evening of entertainment will feature performances by Precision Youth Power Program, Follow Your Dreams, and Wide Angle Youth Media --- all of which are youth groups providing alternatives for at-risk children.
The fashion show will feature original fashion designs by Harbor City High School students. Students from both Harbor City High School and Baltimore City Community College will model these creations. For those interested in other artistic avenues, the Art & Fashion show also will feature a spoken word and rap show and independent film viewing. These folks have put together a very diverse event; all of the festivities for the afternoon are to help StandUp for Kids raise money to support after-school activities.
This is an excellent opportunity to see up and coming Baltimore talent while supporting a great cause. After all, one of these young teens might be the one of the future MICA students that make it big! Tickets are available for $10 at Sonar Will Call or SonarBaltimore.com.
