"French designer Jean Charles de Castelbajac has always managed to crack a few smiles with his whimsical toy-inspired runway designs, but for his S/S (Spring/Summer) 3001 collection, the audience was all grins. Evolving from his recent LEGO-inspired S/S 09 collection, Castelbajac paid homage to his posable yellow friends with a virtual runway show. Large all-over prints of clouds and polka-dots were bright and invigorating. Graphic mini-dresses were all rock n’ roll, emblazoned with phrases like “smells like teen spirit”. His recently debuted Wonder Woman made an appearance as this playful presentation’s final look."
