Cup O' Joe's Coffee House in German Village is nestled amongst two-hundred year old structural designs that represent an era gone by. Sip your favorite coffee on the sidewalk patio and enjoy old-world charm.

If you are not the outdoorsy type and prefer sitting inside, you can a read a book or engage in a conversation with another coffee drinker. After finishing your coffee and toothsome pastry at Cup O' Joe in German Village, stroll next door to the Book Loft and browse around in thirty-two rooms of books. If browsing does not suit your fancy, amble south on South 3rd Street and admire the flower gardens in Schiller Park or enjoy a concert at the amphitheatre in the park. During the summer months, free performances of Shakespeare are performed by a local acting troupe.
