R. Kelly releases new slow jam "Religious"
Producer: Todd Dickson - FULL, CDQ, Rumored track off upcoming album, Untitled *Tibs Fav.™
Some R&B 2 conclude Friday night as R. Kelly's "Religious" takes the feature spot. The beat and vocals are reminiscent of the R. Kelly of past as well as on the other side of the spectrum of "Superman High" (Thank God). I was hooked from the first line, setting the tone for the rest of the slow jam. The chorus is well-delivered and lyrically masterful as R. Kelly croons, "There's something religious about you, there's something church about you" which is a unique way of expressing adoration toward your counterpart. "Religious" comes full circle with a break down and ad-libs in the last third of the track. Overall, this is easily my favorite,
recent R. Kelly song. Download away!
Down below the audio continues as the unlikely, yet fantastic duo of Toni Braxton & Trey Songz deliver the new duet "Yesterday" making for another MUST-DL. Braxton sings about her ex-lover, moving on while Trey Songz sings the part of the ex-lover, pleading his case and expressing his hurt. Nice concept, wonderful collaboration. The unlikely collabos continue as new music featuring Joss Stone & Nas (shouts 2
YK2) and Plies & Keri Hilson (shouts 2
Splash) can be had below as well. Also noteworthy is the Robin Thicke rumored single "Sex Therapy" - surely a baby-making jam that has growing potential.
A lotta videos 2 watch as well including Chicago's Primeridian out in Atlanta for a radio interview, an energetic live performance from Public Enemy, and a very interesting interview from Mr. Hudson talking about where he made
Straight No Chaser. Browse 'em all below! Enjoy!
UPDATE: There is one more video that you have to watch that has been circulating around Twitter. Lil' Duval makes a hilarious observation about Drake and asks him a question.
