The team over at Baconfest headquarters has been working incredibly hard to gather the necessary sponsors and funds to make Baconfest Chicago happen, but as the scope of the original vision has grown, so has the need for additional support.

As "The Baconfest Triumverate" wrote in a statement released today, "We do NOT want to compromise the ideals behind the inspiration for Baconfest Chicago based on financial and technical limitations.  We do not want to rush to host an event that is anything less than spectacular."

So the fest is being rescheduled for April 10th, 2010, although the VIP Bacon Cookoff  at the Publican will still take place on October 24th as planned.
