Black Friday comes earlier this year for many retailers, including Wal-Mart, which is offering terrific prices on an Xbox 360 system and a Sharp 42” LCD TV.

Wal-Mart recently announced that it would offer Black Friday deals earlier than usual due to the tight economy. The deals begin Saturday, November 7th at all Wal-Mart stores. Be sure to get there early to take advantage of the huge savings, as many of the advertised items will be available in limited quantities.

Fantastic deal #1 for families: Wal-Mart will offer an Xbox 360 arcade system for $199 with a $100 gift card included. The gift card can be used towards the purchase of games or memory upgrades. The end price of a brand new Xbox 360 is $99, the lowest price ever offered on the popular Xbox 360 system.

Fantastic deal #2 for families: For parents wanting to shop early and save on holiday purchases, this is a great deal. Wal-Mart is offering a Sharp 42” LCD TV for a remarkably low price of $498 and a Blu-ray player for just $150. These are both fantastic prices for families wishing to upgrade to HDTV.

Many of the retail surveys are predicting that discounts at national and local retailers will be deeper and will come earlier than usual. The average consumer is expected to spend $543 on gifts this holiday season, down 6% from previous years. With this in mind, retailers will battle for your dollar by offering bigger and better sales in 2009. This is definitely good news for families looking to get more bang for their buck this holiday season.

There are many great websites that track Black Friday deals, but there is one geared towards finding Black Friday deals specifically in Atlanta. Be sure to check out www.atlantablackfridaydeals.com.
