Denver protesters yesterday blocked access to the Clerk & Recorder's office as part of the Denver Day of Decision civil disobedience action to protest the California Supreme Court's upholding of the anti-gay marriage Prop. 8.

Below, Kate Burns explains the protest.

In 2007, Burns and her partner Sheila Schroeder were arrested after applying for a marriage license at the Denver Clerk & Recorder's office and sitting in protest when they were refused.

Some of the protesters were arrested after refusing to allow a heterosexual couple through to apply for a marriage license.
