Have you ever wanted to be a professional brewer but just never had the perfect mentor? Now you have a chance to be a pro brewer for a day and learn from one of the best.

Fort Collins Brewing of Fort Collins, Colorado is sponsoring a contest that could make you a Brewer for a Day.  The winner of this contest will get to brew beer at the FCB brewery under the tutorage of a FCB Master Brewer.  You'll get to grind and mash the grain, set the wort to boil and live the life of a brewer for a day.

The Grand Prize

Valid entries in this contest will have a chance to recieve a full day of hands on brewing with an FCB master brewer plus the grand tour of the facility.  All of your brewing questions will be answered by a pro.  Not only that but at the end of the day the winner will receive a Brewer's Lunchbox full of a variety of FCB beer and a pile of FCB swag to go along with it.

The Rules

The rules are simple.  Put in an entry by the end of January 2009.  All entrants must be 21 years old at the time of entry. And the final rule, you MUST be available to brew on Saturday, February 7th from 8am to 5pm Mountain time.  That's it.

Where to enter

There are several places around Northern Colorado to enter.  Visit any of the following liquor stores:

Liquor Mart - Boulder, Twin Peaks Liquor - Longmont, Tipsy's Liquor - Littleton, Total Beverage - Westminster, Colorado Liquor Mart - Denver and of course you can always visit the Fort Collins Brewery itself and sign up there too.  Keep your eyes open in other spots for entry chances.

So if your dream is to become the next Adam Avery, Sam Calagione or Jim Koch and live like they do (for at least a day anyway) then hurry up and enter the contest.  Who knows, you might just find a whole new career in brewing someday.
