Joe Jackson came to town to be a part of a few festivities for his late son Michael Jackson as the critically acclaimed movie, "This Is It," of his last moves opened.
His family stayed in Los Angeles and other parts of the world to celebrate the opening of "This Is It," Jackson's film following his rehearsals as he prepared to launch his tour in London this summer. The Jackson family has many ties to Las Vegas stretching over three decades. Reebe, Michael's eldest sister, lives here with her children, and Joe and Katherine have called Vegas home off and on for years.
The film has received amazing praise from Oprah to Elizabeth Taylor. Some have wondered if it's eligible for an Oscar.
Joe was in front of the Palms Tuesday as his late son received the Brenden Celebrity Star outside the Brenden Theaters at the Palms Casino. Johnny Brenden posed for pics with Joe as they both touched the star in front of fans and media.
After taking in the film at Brenden Theaters at the Palms, Joe went up to Moon nightclub for a Thriller interpretation, with a Jackson look-a-like stomping around the club's stage in full Zombie makeup.
Creepy.
