As a Music Examiner, I often have music submitted to me by bands and individuals. MP3 files, music files in other formats and links to both websites and online music players are very common. I have already done some articles on a few of the musicians who have submitted recordings to me for my opinion and review.
The items that usually come to my physical mailbox are CD's and sometimes DVD's. I consider the folks who send me these hard copies to be very generous, and always make sure to give special attention and consideration to their offerings.
Surprisingly, the latest item found in my mailbox will actually aid me in reviewing music on my personal player, which happens to be a Sony, that came with it's own brand of headphones. The 'cans' that I received, model PS320 by Phiaton, are far superior to the headphones that Sony provided with my player. Ever so soft on the ears, and snug-fitting to shut out the noise of the street as I take my walks, I find this personal headphone set to be sort of a 'godsend', although if God had any part of it, he used HWH Public Relations to get the phones to me, for which I am truly thankful.
The manufacturer states, "Compact, lightweight and supremely comfortable, the PS 320’s are designed for discerning aficionados who want to enjoy every last note and detail of their favorite classical, jazz, rock or acoustic music. Phiaton’s newest closed air, dynamic headphone features an advanced coaxial dual driver system that delivers a wider frequency response and higher definition reproduction. The PS 320 features genuine leather ear cups and soft ear pads that assure relaxing comfort even after hours of listening." After using the PS320 headphones for about a week now, I have no argument whatsoever with any of that statement.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get on my Gazelle and listen to some great music by a Native-American composer, while I do my indoor exercise regimen.
