2 Timothy 2:18-20 (King James Version):
18Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
Unfortunately, there are some who don't realize that they've strayed from the truth, and feel that they're "going to heaven anyhow." That's what happens when iniquity corrupts the mind to where such individual doesn't see their own wrong, and yet professes Christ. Although there are such people today, don't you become the one who's "too blind to see the real light."
Because it's not about what one personally thinks, or how one feels about doing something, but it's about seeking to know the will of God and submitting to it. And to some, it hasn't occurred whether or not they're a vessel of honor or dishonor. Seek the will of God, for him to make you a vessel of honor. And then, the Lord will honor those who uphold his standard of holiness, with that crown of life.
