Dyvela drove for miles, looking for a repair shop to have her car serviced. The last repairman told her that the parts for her vehicle are no longer available. Well, she does have a very "old car," and the manufacturer has gone out of business long ago. It may be better for her to "get with the program" and get a "current" vehicle. That way, she can have it serviced, in case there's an issue. Until it happens, her car is no good.
From looking at the current condition of this world, due to sin, everyone needs the Lord. Individually, life without him is no good. And can anyone imagine what their eternal future could be like, if they renounce the God who "created" them? No one can be "good outside of God" and expect to able to live, or even have eternal life with him.
It's one thing to be born in sin, but it's another to become reconciled to the One who's able to remit sin and restore one to his Creator. And, naturally speaking, our life, breath, and everything else comes from him. We came from him, and it's up to each one of us how we return. For our own righteousnesses will never qualify one for heaven.
Therefore, it's necessary and wise to not reject the salvation of God. For according to his word, there's no such thing as being able to live right, without the need for God, and not having to answer to him. But if one wants to believe that life is good without God, they also have the right to know that life without him, has its consequences.
Colossians 1:14-17 (King James Version):
14In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
