Drinks that sound like they could be Elvis movies

Here are the drink recipes for the post on testing your Elvis Movie I.Q. How did you do?

High Roller

  • 1 1/2 oz vodka
  • 3/4 oz Grand Marnier orange liqueur
  • 2 - 3 drops grenadine syrup
  • 4 oz orange juice


Shake Grand Marnier, vodka and orange juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Strain into an old fashioned glass with ice. Top with a few drops of grenadine.

Rockaway Beach

  • 1/2 oz Cranberry juice
  • 1 oz  Orange juice
  • 1/2 oz  Pineapple Juice
  • 1 1/2 oz  Light Rum
  • 1/2 oz  Dark Rum
  • 1/2 oz  Tequila
  • 1 tsp  Creme de Noyaux


Fill mixing glass with 4 oz. cracked ice and above ingredients. Shake and strain into chilled glass. Add ice.

Blue Hawaiian recipe

  • 1 oz light rum
  • 2 oz pineapple juice
  • 1 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
  • 1 oz cream of coconut
  •  

Blend light rum, blue curacao, pineapple juice, and cream of coconut with one cup ice in an electric blender at high speed. Pour contents into a highball glass. Decorate with the slice of pineapple and a cherry.

The Girl Mom Warned You About

  • 1/3 oz Grenadine
  • 1/3 oz Triple Sec
  • 1/3 oz Rum
  • 1/3 oz Melon liqueur
  • 1/3 oz Curacao


In a shot glass, layer each of the following. grenadine on the bottom, then using the back of a spoon, gently layer on the triple sec next, then the light rum, Midori, and finally the blue Curacao. The shooter should look like a mini rainbow.

Aloha

  • 1/4 oz Cognac 
  • 1/2 oz Dark Rum 
  • 1/4 oz Gin 
  • 1/4 oz Dry Vermouth 
  • 1/2 oz Lime Juice 
  • 1 oz Soda Water 


Shake with ice cubes and strain into a large cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Pink Pussycat

  • 1 dash Grenadine Syrup
  • Some Juice - Pineapple
  • 1 1/2 oz Vodka


Pour vodka into glass filled with ice. Fill with juice. Add grenadine for color and stir.
