Q. What exactly is Grenadine? I know a lot of recipes call for it, but what is it?

A. Grenadine is a syrup made from Pomegranates. It is usually non-alcoholic and mainly used in cocktails to give them color and to take the place of sugar. Grenadine is a light red color.

Cheers!
