  Amarula Cream

If you are looking for something decadent to drink you should look no further than Amarula Cream. This is a delicious beverage that is great alone or mixed.

Amarula F.A.Q.
Q- How is Amarula Cream made?
A- Amarula Cream is made from the fruit of the Marula Tree that only grows wild, in the warm, frost-free regions of subequatorial Africa. Marula trees cannot be cultivated, and the fruit has to be picked when the fruit ripens during the height of the South African summer, mid-January to mid-March. The fruit is then distilled into liquor that is then added to the highest-quality cream to make Amarula Cream.

Q- What's the best way to drink Amarula Cream?

A- The way you like best. Amarula Cream is wonderful "on the rocks," but is also marvelous in cocktails, recipes, or even as cream in your favorite coffee.

Q- What is the nutritional information for Amarula Cream?
A- A typical serving of Amarula Cream on the rocks has approximately the same calories as a vodka tonic or whisky and cola. 1.5 fluid ounces of Amarula Cream contains 158 calories, 6.16 grams of fat, and 15.3 grams of sugar.

Q- Is Amarula Cream gluten free?
A- Yes, Amarula Cream is gluten free.

Q- Should I refrigerate my bottle of Amarula Cream after opening, and how long will it remain fresh?

A- Stored under the proper conditions a bottle of Amarula Cream (opened or unopened) should be good for approximately two years. We do recommend that you store unopened bottles in a cool, dry place away from direct light, and that you refrigerate Amarula Cream after you have opened the bottle.

The recipes below have the measurement “tot” which is a little less than an ounce. Feel free to round up.
1 tot - round up to 1 oz
1/2 tot – round up to 1/2 oz
tot - a unit of volume for liquor. Generally the term is used informally, with no fixed definition. However, in British pubs the usual understanding is that a tot is 1/6 gill; this is equivalent to 5/6 Imperial fluid ounce or about 23.7 milliliters.
