A visit to the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC is an exciting visual experience that will take you on a tour of America through the people that have shaped our history. Leaders, activists, artists, even icons of pop culture have all made their mark on life here in the United States, and this museum celebrates and remembers their stories.
Homeschoolers are invited to enjoy all that this museum has to offer! On Tuesday, November 10th, from 11:30 am until 1:30pm, there will be a Homeschool Open House at the National Portrait Gallery. This event is open to homeschoolers, siblings, and parents. It is free but registration is required. You can register via email: provostg@si.edu. Please provide number and ages of children, number of adults, mailing address and phone number. The event will be held at the Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture; please meet at the Kogod Courtyard to sign-in.

The Gallery is located at 8th and F Streets, NW. You can reach the museum via metro; exit at the Gallery Place-Chinatown station (red, yellow, and green lines.)
