Heather Bailey's Bitty Booties pattern
Heather Bailey is a talented designer and has created several free patterns on her blog. Whether or not you sew, there is a pattern to get you all excited.
For the kid at heart or to entertain your young ones as summer approaches, you will love Heather's Flower Pinwheel. Crafted from cardstock or scrapbooking paper, you can create your own pinwheel in any pattern you want. Let your little ones pick their favorite pattern and create a customized pinwheel!
My personal favorite is Heather's Hooray for Headbands pattern. I have made several of these headbands and not only are they fun to make but they are the best headband design. I love headbands but never wear them because I can't get them to stay put. However, the ties that Heather incorporates into this piece gives it staying power!
Last but certainly not least (well, only in fabric amount), is Heather Bailey's Bitty Booties. These baby booties are designed to be sewn from wool felt but other materials can be substituted. Heather also hosts a flickr group to showcase other crafters variations and creative additions to this pattern. She encourages her readers to embellish her booties with anything their heart desires and then post their photos to inspire others. I can't wait to make my own for my little girl!
