Zane and his monkey finally find a home!

In the enlightened words of Zane Lamprey:  "Hell froze over! Pigs CAN fly!"

For those of you who don't know who Zane Lamprey is ... shame on you. And you call yourself an imbiber of fine beer and/or wine and/or hard alcohol. Pshaaa!

Zane is the host of the global pub crawl show Three Sheets. A bit about 3S (as it's referred to by fans):

Can you say “I’m buying” in 12 languages? Embark on this international drinking tour with comedian Zane Lamprey who takes you around the world to master the local drinking customs. Zane has starred in shows for MTV, VH1 and Comedy Central and now finds himself in the role of a lifetime…hosting a show about drinking!  From Champagne, France to Jaco, Costa Rica, Zane is on a mission to immerse himself in foreign drinking cultures.  Cheers!

Here's a little back story:  this phenomenally funny, entertaining and educational program started on the MOJO network a few years ago. MOJO being the place where I first created "The Beer Bucket List." Sadly, on December 1 of 2008, they closed up shop and went off the air, and along with it, so did 3S.  At the time, Zane and his crew of drunken misfits were putting the finishing touches on season four. They were so close to wrapping in fact that they were told to finish off their obligations to deliver 20 episodes (18 new, never- before-seen episodes, and one double, 1-hour special shot in London).

Well, since the end of last year Zane, Steve McKenna and Pleepleus have been in limbo. Many a "Save Three Sheets" rallies have been held... and apparently they worked. This past week Zane announced that the show had been saved by The Fine Living Network (check your local listings to see if this cable channel is available where you are).

“We are happy to add the hilarious and knowledgeable Zane Lamprey to our talent roster,” said FLN General Manager Chad Youngblood. "And we are particularly pleased to be the new home of the cult favorite, ‘Three Sheets,’ which will add nicely to our growing line-up of cocktail shows.”

Which is true.  Aside from Three Sheets they have a similar show called The Thirsty Traveler.  It's not nearly as funny or irreverent as Zane's show, but it's worth watching. What's more, they have a "World of Beer" section on their website that includes a ton of beer-infused recipes, so be sure to check it out.

FLN will be airing brand-monkey-spanking new episodes of Three Sheets starting Monday, July 20 at 10pm. Previously seen episodes will be shown on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 10pm EST/PST, so if you've never seen them... I recommend you fire up your DVR for a 3S-a-thon! This is far and away one of my personal favorite shows. Even my wife likes Zane.

Season four begins in New Zealand, followed by Tanzania, Lithuania, St. Martin and Cape Town. Other episodes include Hawaii, Iceland, Poland, Barbados, Panama, Namibia, Tuscany, Barbados, Tahiti, New Castle, Hamburg, Lesvos, and Amsterdam. Along with a bevy of new characters, you’ll see old favorites like Pleepleus, Jim-the-Cop (Iceland) and Steve McKenna (Amsterdam).

Zivjeli!
