Gallery in the Paseo Arts District (albw)

Oklahoma City is a hop, skip, and a jump from Dallas and makes for a fun getaway.Whether you're chillin' in Bricktown, wagering a bet, or catching an NBA game, OKC offers up plenty of entertainment.

But don't let all the entertainment in "The City" distract you from enjoying the upcoming, warm-weather festivals.

Mark your calendar.

• Watch the St. Patrick’s Day parade and partake in the celebration throughout Bricktown with food, music, and fun.

• Festival of the Arts is a “rite of spring” festival in late April with more than 150 artisans filling the streets of the Arts District. Shop for art, taste delicious treats, and listen to a mix of tunes.

• Memorial Day Weekend hosts the Paseo Arts Festival, held in the 1920’s neighborhood of the Paseo Arts District.

• Other festivals to keep an eye open for include the Red Earth Native American Cultural Festival in June, 4th of July, and the Labor Day Arts Festival.

For details, contact the Oklahoma City Convention & Visitors Bureau, (800-225-5652, email: okccvb@okccvb.org).
