The Oklahoma History Center will present a special program on the anniversary of the Gettysburg Address which Abraham Lincoln, America's 16th President, presented November 19, 1863. Fritz Klein will be presenting Abraham Lincoln in “Portrait of a President: An Evening with Abraham Lincoln” as he focuses on the Gettysburg Address and the nation during this era in American History. Klein is a resident of Springfield, Illinois where the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum is located. Klein is a professional actor and speaker that has spent more than 30 years studying and researching Lincoln. With a natural resemblance to Lincoln Klein enhances this with costume and make up.
This special program the evening of November 19, 2009 is free to the public. The museum doors and exhibits opens at 6:00 pm with the program “Portrait of a President: An Evening with Abraham Lincoln” starting at 7:00 pm. The Oklahoma History Center is located at 2401 N. Laird Avenue, Oklahoma City, across from the Governor’s Mansion on Northeast 23rd Street just east of the State Capitol.
