One of the ways we are communicating with dogs, is through our body language.  Dogs are looking for leadership in their owners, and if our shoulders are slouched down, we are not as effective as when we are training them with perfect posture.   Learn more about how our body language and non-verbal energy affects our dogs in the following workshop:

Subtle Communication of Energy & Body Language between Human & Canine.

This class focuses on the non-verbal world of dogs and humans and encompasses all aspects of canine communication. Workshop includes pictures, videos and actual demonstrations of canine and human body language as it relates to common issues between them. Many misunderstandings and problems with our dogs arise when we rely on the spoken word. Learn about the emotional non-verbal form of energy that humans use amongst themselves-- one in which our dogs are experts in reading.

Dogs are so good at picking up our non-verbal energy, that we may be sending them mixed or the wrong signals, if we try to discipline or train them when we've had a bad day, or our energy is low.  Posture needs to be confident, yet calm when asking a dog to follow your lead or command.

If one has low self-esteem, a dog will sense it, and it will make a dog distrust and feel insecure in its human relationships.

Some dogs require strong body language, while others will obey subtle hand commands.  We need to learn the temperament of our dogs, and use the body language they require, to get the responses we want.
