Diva Boutique will host Strut and Sip for Autism, featuring the store’s clothing and accessories as well as jewelry from La Belle Cezanne, on Thursday, Nov. 5 from 6 p.m. until midnight at Osteria 177 (177 Main Street in Historic Annapolis). Proceeds will benefit the Maryland Therapeutic Riding Center’s Horses that Heal Program for autistic children.
Throughout the second annual charity event, the newly crowned Miss Maryland will model clothes, including Diva’s newest merchandise, featuring designers Nicole Miller , Alice+Olivia, Central Park West, Sophia Eugene, Abie Feren, Bryan Bradley, Yoana Baraschi, Black Halo, Christopher Deane, and Velvet.
Last year’s fashion show raised more than $10,000 for Maryland Therapeutic Riding, which was founded in 1996 to increase self-confidence and improvement in strength, balance, coordination, attention span, language and social skills through a specialized program designed to rehabilitate and improve the conditions of a range of physical, mental and emotional disabilities.
Tickets are $100 each and can be purchased on zooptix.com or by contacting Diva Boutique at 410-280-9195 or info@modadiva.com. Hors d’oeuvres and champagne will be provided, as well as tea-infused cocktails by Capital Teas. A silent auction will be held during the cocktail hour, and a live auction will follow the runway show. A live DJ will entertain guests in addition to the rhythm of live bongo drums.
