As mentioned in the previous article, the best dietary source of Vitamin K is green, leafy vegetables. If one does not have a taste for kale or spinach, try one-half cup of broccoli sautéed in olive oil. Or, one could try a lettuce salad, (using any type except iceberg) with a teaspoon of salad dressing that contains vegetable oil. Some fat is needed for absorption of vitamin K.

Among vegetable oils, the richest sources of vitamin K (per two-tablespoon serving) are soybean oil (50 mcg) and olive oil (13 mcg.)

Now, what about supplements? I guess I am big on supplements, because I use them. I do not use a Vitamin K supplement, because I get what I need from a daily supplement of spirulina along with fish oil tablets. In addition, I take a supplement for niacin.

If you are interested in supplements, here are two popular brands along with consumer comments:

Easy to swallow small softgel. Too early to tell for what it is doing for osteoporosis and CV yet but this product seems to get great reviews in scientific studies for putting calcium where it should be, i.e. into your bones rather than calcifying your arteries that will contribute to Cardiovascular Disease. Great result for tooth acre, pain went away after about two weeks on this supplement. IHerb service is great arrives half way round the world in about 3 to 4 days. Cheapest source of supplements in general.

I know it sounds unbelievable. But a knuckle I smashed over 20 years ago has grown mostly back over the span of a couple months. I started on K2 for the the first time in my life and increased the amount of D3.

I had done some research on this product and it's amazing qualities but it's hard to find, so I was very happy to see that iherb carries it but I can say that about quite a number of your products...I can't get them anywhere else and certainly not at these prices even if they do.

I have used this product for over a year. So far it has helped me stay off prescription drugs for osteopoenia.
