November 20 is the deadline for the receipt of applications or nominations with resumes for the position of general secretary (chief executive) of the General Board of Global Ministries.

According to a press release from the missions agency, applications and nominations accompanied by resumes may be submitted for two more weeks. Email applications are preferred and should be sent to  Joyce Lapenn at jslapenn@aol.com. The mailing address is: PO Box 368, Hillsdale, NY 12529.

The review of candidates and the selection of a final nominee will be handled by a 13-member committee of Global Ministries' directors, co-chaired by Bishop Ough and Dr. Maggie Jackson, a university professor in Cleveland, who chairs the agency's personnel committee.
