
This is definitely the season for toy runs. I've got a few events on my radar for the next two weekends that I have details on, and then there are a few things I can pass along that you'll need to look into on your own if you're interested.
The 16th Annual Toy Run to Benefit Project Merry Christmas will take place on Sunday, starting at 10 a.m., at the Fun Center outside of Durango on 160. For information call 970-759-2023.
Then, on Saturday, Dec. 6 wil be the 14th Annual Santa's Sleigh Run. The beneficiary of this event is the Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence. Registration is 10-11 a.m. at High Country Harley-Davidson in Frederick. The cost is $15 per person.
Also on Dec. 6, the 29th Annual Toy Run, sponsored by the Western Slope H.O.G. Chapter, will head out at 11 a.m. from Grand Junction Harley-Davidson, 2747 Crossroads Boulevard. Bring a new toy or a cash donation.
On Sunday, Dec. 7 the 23rd Annual Toy Run to The Children's Hospital, sponsored by Rocky Mountain Harley-Davidson, will leave Aurora Sports Park, 18601 Sports Park Drive, at 11 a.m. Bring a new unwrapped toy.
