Here a little item I just ran across. It's called Trailer in a Bag and they say it weighs 140 pounds and can easily fit in the trunk of your car.
No longer do you need to have a place to store some big, clunky trailer. No longer do you need to try to figure out how to get your bike to the shop when it has died and nothing you can think to do will get it to start. I know I've been in that latter difficult spot a time or two.
That doesn't mean I'm recommending it. I really don't know anything more about it than what I read on that link I gave you above. I'd wonder things like, how sturdy is it? How stable is it? How safe is my bike on that thing?
But assuming the answers to those questions were favorable, there are undoubtedly people out there for whom this is just the thing. Plus, they have a different model that will carry two bikes. The weight capacity for both is give at 2,000 pounds so that's plenty for the bikes. And they say it does not require any tools for assembly or disassembly.
So there you have it. Human ingenuity seems to be boundless. If anyone tries one of these things please write me a note and let me know what you think. Thanks.
