In case you're wondering what ever happened to the promised posts about the Meeting of the Minds, I'll get back to those next. We had a "Best of" mass Examiner posting on Tuesday, and Thursday is when I do these upcoming events posts. But after this it's back to Meeting of the Minds. There's still plenty of stuff to discuss there.

This week:

I need to note a change on this first item. If you were planning to catch Road Rage at Englewood Days, that was canceled. The update is, the Road Rage Car, Truck, and Bike Show comes to Wal-Mart, 10900 East Briarwood Ave., Centennial to benefit the Military Families Relief Fund on Saturday.

The Mountain Shadow Riders' 8th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Test Your Memory Run is also set for Saturday. The beneficiary is the Colorado Springs affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Gather for this event at the Western Omelette, 16 S. Walnut in Colorado Springs.

The United Firefighters 3rd Annual Wind & Fire Poker Run will be held Saturday. For information call 303-944-4090.

The 21st Annual High Country Toy Run to benefit needy kids in Teller and El Paso counties will take place on Sunday. The event starts at the Rocky Mountain Motorcycle Museum, 5865 N. Nevada Ave. in Colorado Springs.

And that about does it for this weekend. Not only that, I don't have anything on my calendar for the following week at all. Come on guys, I know there has to be something going on. Please send me a heads-up and I'll include it here next week. Otherwise, this regular feature may become a bit irregular over the winter.
