A true "custom" motorcycle on display at Daytona

Going to the Sturgis rally is easy for us in Colorado, but what about Daytona Bike Week? Florida is a lot further away.

That didn't stop my buddy Friggs, however, who took his bike on an extended visit to the Sunshine State. He shot these photos and sent them back so we can all see what we missed.

He also wrote to me, in his inimitable way, about his adventures down there. Friggs rides a Yamaha Virago so on a visit to a Harley dealer he says he asked where the shirts were that say "Yamaha."

"They became very impolite and asked me to leave," he reports.

Friggs has also told us for a long time that he really wanted to be in a wet t-shirt contest, but the last time he tried to enter they told him he was too old, too fat, and the wrong sex.

"How old is too old?" he asked.

Well, he got his wish in Daytona. See the proof in the slideshow. Photos by Friggs (except the last one).

Our man in Florida, Jerry "Friggs" Pryor sent back these photos from his two visits to Daytona during Bike Week.
