Understanding my southern graces I am aware it is in poor taste to bring forth the actual age of a women so therefore I, like the rest of the people in attendance, shall not mention the actual number being celebrated in this birthday bash.  But I shall go on and on about how great the party was!!  Wavy Space with most members of Swill performed for the better part of 3 1/2 hours, with a short break for cake and a few shots of Yeager and some cleansing ale. A most memorable rendition of Hotel California presented as a translation into German and then a reverse translation by a not so talented translator back into English - almost.  It was comical indeed!

Of course the festivities would not have been complete without the blowing of the candles, which Shana masterfully completed across two cakes in one mighty huff & puff!! These two cakes seemed to dwindle as those whom at first stated they wanted none, were seen "picking" a few nibbles and crumbs from time to time.  Some of us less bashful know that its just bad luck not to have at least a small piece in honor of the birthday gal.  Shana was certainly surrounded by loving family and friends and it showed throughout the night. But enough intermission - the party must go on!

The second set continued in the rocking tradition of the first.  Some most excellent guest guitar work accompanied by stellar sax and percussions brought the sound of a complete musical ensemble to heightened frenzy many times over the last hour!  Wavy Space and friends certainly accomplished their mission for the evening.  A night to remember for all in attendance!  Many thanks to the Double Door Inn for hosting this show and expression of love for our friend Shana Blake on her birthday - whichever number she celebrates..

Cheers,

Monty
