During South by Southwest Interactive, podcasting guru Leo Paporte is using Texas Coworking in downtown Austin as his SXSW headquarters, Examiner.com has learned.

Texas Coworking is in the Hannig Row building on East Sixth Street.

Laporte produces and hosts the most listened-to tech podcasts in the world at TWiT.tv, with 500,000 unique listeners and 4 million downloads each month. Laporte prefers the term “netcast” over “podcast.”

He also hosts “The Tech Guy,” a national radio show syndicated by the Premiere Radio Networks. The show is heard on XM Satellite Radio as well as on more than 70 radio stations nationwide.

Laporte's Facebook page indicated he was traveling March 10 to Austin to broadcast live from SXSW.

Last month on Twitter, Laporte said TWiT.tv would be covering SXSW “a little differently” this year. “I’ll be live Fri-Sun nights equipped with camera, mics, lights, and portable streaming rig.”

According to Wikipedia, Laporte operated one of the first Macintosh-only bulletin board systems, MacQueue, from 1985 to 1988.
