When Senator Burr came to New Bern, he found roughly 400 enthusiastic Republicans celebrating Ronald Reagan, arguably one of the worlds greatest orators. That is a tough act to follow!

He found an audience eager to hear what he had to say, an audience eager to ensure a Republican Victory in November.

In the video that accompanies this article, as well the two prior articles, you will see that Senator Burr did well in his commentary about Washington Politics, debt, mistakes he freely acknowledges and has learned from.

He speaks about Values.. How important they are to all of us. The Senator makes sure everyone knows where he stands on issues and more in the video with this article.

Senator Burr also comments on 2012. Enjoy this video and if you missed the first two articles and video, please take the time to view them all.

The Reagan Day Banquet wound up on a positive note of determination and winners. Various prizes, including artwork and a shotgun were awarded as guests took turns drawing the names.

Candidates took the time to distribute literature, talk with attendees and secure support for their campaigns.

All agreed the food and service was excellent and the evening was truly a special one. They left with a feeling of victory and a willingness to work for the Republican Party.

Your vote is important. This country is governed by the people...or it is supposed to be.

It does not work without self discipline. It does not work without a willingness to pay attention to what is happening. Ronald Reagan knew this and made his voice count, changing parties when his was not listening to the voice of the people as he saw it.

Every candidate is willing to place his or her reputaion, past and family in harms way. The least we can do is pay attention to the issues and vote.
