Though the Green Festival doesn’t make it to Baltimore, but instead to Washington D.C., it’s still worth the little trip. (A quick ride on the metro, and your there in no time flat!)
In year’s past I have gone and thoroughly enjoyed it. There are several farms, which you can talk to, producers offering local, organic and sustainable wares, and aides to living a “Green Lifestyle’.
As usual the event is held at the Washington DC Convention center and is open this Saturday and Sunday, the 10th and 11th. Entrance is $15.00’s for either day. This year there will be an exhibit offering ideas on how to improve your home through “green ways”, plus 300 other vendors all offering alternative green products and services to make your life more sustainable
.
There will also be an organic beer and wine garden with the organic food section and for the kids there is a youth zone with kid related activities provided by Organic Valley. Not to mention there will be several speakers and authors present through out the two days.
Though a major number of attendees and exhibitors are either vegetarian or vegan, a normal carnivore such as me can still enjoy the Green Festival. It gives you the chance to see exhibitors show you the new technology coming up, plus great food development innovations. If you like learning new things, or seeing new ideas, then the Green Festival is definitely something you will enjoy.
