Chivas USA go into Saturday's home game with FC Dallas boasting the league's best record. Chivas defender Shavar Thomas credits his partnership with fellow back Carey Talley [MLSNet]:

"We understand each other. ... We're both guys that like to read the game and organize things. I think we compliment each other well. Carey is a vocal guy and a leader, and I think I possess the same qualities."

The Seattle Sounders certainly have missed the leadership of veteran 'keeper Kasey Keller, who since being ejected has seen his side lose two straight. Keller returns as Seattle hosts the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday [Seattle Times]:

"I feel great. I don't feel like I've lost a step. Everything feels as good as I want it to feel, put it that way. ... I just feel like it's very difficult to beat me right now, which is a nice feeling."

New York Red Bulls coach Juan Carlos Osorio tries not to sound like he's already given up ahead of a Eastern Conference rivalry matchup against DC United Sunday [MLSNet]:

"It's going to be a tough game. DC is one of the best teams in this league. It's a difficult position [for us], but we'll be ready."

Toronto FC fan Adrienne Coughlan, 26, will likely be at her team's matchup against the Kansas City Wizards on Sunday, despite suffering second-degree burns to her leg. Coughlan was hit by flare thrown by another fan during Toronto's defeat of Chivas USA on Wednesday [Toronto Sun]:

"I'm not going to let a couple people out of 20,000 ruin the whole experience. The experience of being at a game is amazing. I would totally go back. I want to go back to another game."
