Fiesta of the Spanish Horse was founded in 1998 with a goal to raise funds to find a cure for cancer.  Fiesta of the Spanish Horse is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers.  An annual event is held that includes a four day Horse Show featuring Spanish breeds, held April 30 through May 3, and a spectacular "Extravaganza" on Saturday evening, May 2nd, at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center of Burbank California.

Admission to the multi-breed Horse Show is free and the featured breeds are the Andalusian, Lusitano, Paso Fino, Peruvian Paso, and newly added this year, the Friesian.  The Extravaganza begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday evening, May 2nd, but gates open and festivities begin at 3 p.m.  Saturday evening's events not only involve the Extravaganza, but also vendors, food, and a raffle.  Included in the list of special presentations is the Parade of Cancer Survivors which helps merge the goal and importance of the event with the fun and entertainment.  To view Horse Show information, a partial list of Extravaganza presentations, Extravaganza ticket prices, or to read about the background and goal of Fiesta of the Spanish Horse click here.
