Napolitano 'clarifies' but the die is cast

In a feeble attempt to deflect the firestorm of criticism she and her department have received in response to the ridiculously slanderous and libelous report Homeland Security issued on 'right wing extremism,' DHS director Janet Napolitano claimed she did not mean to be critical of veterans by issuing the report.

Several key points come to mind in response to the Director's statement.

First, at no point in her statement this morning on Fox News did she retract anything in the report.  Second, she did not apologize for the content of the report.  Third, her 'clarification' focused solely on statements veterans found to be offensive.  She stated she was not targeting veterans as 'potential terrorists.'

Everything else, however, was left to stand as is.  DHS now considers gun owners to be potential domestic terrorists.  The Department now believes that anyone who believes in the U.S. Constitution as the final rule of law in this country is a terror suspect.  And that designation in the report includes people who are pro-life, those who prefer local government to centralized federal government, those who believe in small government, and those who are critical of the federal government.

Since Napolitano never retracted ANY of those statements in the report, we can only assume that this is now the official policy of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security under Barack Obama.

And despite Napolitano's assurances that her report was not aimed at veterans, she nonetheless persists in talking about Timothy McVeigh, who himself was a veteran--the ONLY veteran in U.S. history to perpetuate a domestic terrorist attack on our own soil.

It is clear that in Napolitano's worldview, veterans are suspect.  She probably has never even gotten to know a veteran other than McVeigh (she worked on the government's case against McVeigh).  Indeed, a legion of mid-level government operatives in the Obama administration are extremists, Leftwing activists who have a mindset against the military and anyone who serves in it.

This is precisely the reason such an anti-American report could be issued by DHS.  While the country is being infiltrated by Muslim extremists who have already set up secret cells throughout the country to coordinate their next terrorist attack, the Leftwingers had rather focus on an event that took place 15 years ago and totally ignore the number of Americans who were killed in attacks carried out by Muslim extremists.

It is clearly outrageous that people such as Napolitano are allowed to keep their jobs.  But we must remember that the current administration is the most liberal, Leftwing outfit that has ever been elected to public office in America.

Perhaps it's time to re-focus on the domestic LEFTWING terrorist associations of Barack Obama--such as William Ayers.  And this is not to mention the fact that many within the current government support the likes of CAIR, Code Pink, ACORN, the Muslim Brotherhood, and George Soros and his numerous ultra-Leftwing front groups.

The Obama administration would be prudent to seek wise council and back off from the extremism we have seen on display so far.  If they don't, then they are well on the road toward inciting a civil war in this nation.
