A few days ago WoW.com reported that close sources inside Blizzard informed them that the new big expansion to Word of Warcraft will be tentatively named Cataclysm. In addition, two new races will be introduced; Worgen for the Alliance and Goblin for the Horde. Of course these things might change from now until actual conception but for now I just want to touch a bit on what implementing the new races could bring to the game.
* New races bring new zones and with new zones comes new pets, something I’m sure hunters will love
* Goblins are known to be Tinkers which I don’t see being a new class but could end up being a higher form of engineering.
* Worgens look cool. Besides that fact I have a feeling that one of the Worgen racials would be turning into their Wolf forms, kind of like a mini Bloodlust. I don’t think they will retain Wolf form because somehow Blizzard will tie in how Arugal made successful Human/Worgen hybrids.
* New faction mounts and vanity pets.
* Two new major cities, one for each respected faction.
Personally I can’t wait until more official news comes from Blizzards camp.
