Give a hand to the GOP for finally winning one! They got ACORN! They nailed them good!
Who and what is ACORN? Well, if you are not a Fox News watching minion or a kook you wouldn't know so don't feel to bad.
ACORN is some rinky dink "poverty" group that is a front for the Democrats. They are supposed to be a non partisan "advocacy" group for the poor. But mostly they exist to further the electoral interests of the Democrats.
Over the past 15 years this group of politically connected hacks and thinly veiled democratic party organizers has received a whopping 53 million in federal funds.
Naturally this sort of government spending enrages the kooks who control the GOP today.
Now, I carry no water for ACORN. It sounds like the usual poverty pimp scam that we have seen since LBJ and the Great Society. But given the amount of attention the GOP and "conservatives" have given this group you would think that they had received a trillion dollars in federal funds.
This is the sort of AstroTurf- Fox News created issue that regularly consumes the Kookified cohorts that inhabit the GOP today and call themselves "conservatives". Fifty Three million dollars over 15 years! And yet Fox News has done literally dozens upon dozens of stories on this group and their paltry 53 million in federal grants!
Billions of shrink wrapped hundred dollar bills on pallets go missing in Iraq? Trillions given away to parties unknown by the Federal Reserve which simply refuses to tell us to whom they gave this money? Two wars that cost upwards of half a billion dollars a day to run? Yawn. No. I don't want to hear about that! Tell me about the evil poor people who run this 100 million dollar a year organization and how they are screwing me! Yeah!
This is the sort of absolute BS that consumes the fraud joke of a "conservative opposition" in this country? A pathetic 53 million over 15 years given to some poor slobs earning 23 thousand dollars a year working for a non governmental organization!
Great job "conservatives"! What a victory! You really stuck it to the people taking your stuff!
Could the "right" in this country be any more of a controlled anemic joke? Talk about misdirected rage! How about another "Tea party"!
