A Tornado Watch (means conditions are favorable for development) is in effect for portions of West Tennessee until 3 a.m. on Friday.
For Middle Tennessee, the potential exists for severe weather development on Friday and Friday night as a particularly strong front collides with very warm, moist air.
Those two factors are main ingredients in what could be a busy night for forecasters, weather watchers, and trained storm spotters.
Thankfully, the potential is still considered (at this time) to be low for severe weather development.
